Sanitary System Management

GeoPlan provides a full suite of applications for managing municipal operations. This page describes GeoPlan's Sanitary System Management module.

More than a System Inventory

Dynamic features in GeoPlan's Sanitary module bring you unparalleled desktop control of your system pipe and manhole data. More than an inventory system, GeoPlan incorporates your system's network inter-connectivity. Upstream and downstream flow relationships are built into the system, making it easy for you to examine or enter data for connected elements. Manhole records can be retrieved by clicking the Upstream or Downstream button on a pipe's data page. Manning pipe coefficients are dynamically calculated from grade and friction factors you supply. Laterals are easily entered and automatically plotted as angled footage offsets from collector lines.

Inspection Details in Seconds

GeoPlan helps you dig out from under mountains of paper inspection records. The inspection page organizes all the pipe and manhole inspection details you need for efficient maintenance of your system. Still images from video inspection videos can be incorporated and made part of the pipe or manhole record.

Combining GeoPlan's detailed data with the system's reporting capabilities gives you greater control over paperwork demands. GeoPlan's report library can be used to store templates for standard reporting requirements. Work orders, maintenance reports, management summaries, or bid specification details can be produced from a few mouse-clicks.

Mapping that's Truly Integrated

GeoPlan's feature-centric mapping lets you move seamlessly from a data page for a specific pipe or manhole to a map that centers that feature in the map window. While operating in map view, a rich set of mapping tools give you the ability to control map appearance, to query and edit underlying data, or to perform spatial operations. You can print working maps directly from the map window. Additionally, GeoPlan's map library lets you store templates for commonly requested maps that can be routed to a printer or plotter.

Sanitary Pipes Data Page
Four tabbed pages of data can be maintained for each pipe segment. In the illustration above, the cursor rests on the Downstream manhole button which, when clicked, will open four data pages for the referenced manhole, as shown below.
