GeoPlan provides a full suite of applications for managing municipal operations. This page describes GeoPlan's Zoning Appeals module.
With GeoPlan's Zoning Appeals module you won’t have to spend time searching through old, dusty files looking for historical cases. In seconds GeoPlan gives you access to every appeal case on file for the subject parcel record. Use this module to record relevant data from appeal applications such as the owner and applicant information, type of request, purpose, fee, and circumstances of the case. In addition, you can track the dates of required advertisements, postings, meetings, and notifications.
Case Status At a Glance
Status reporting is made simple when all of the tasks are defined and entered into the Actions page. Action types are defined using GeoPlan's flexible set-up procedures and you can define as many as you need to insure that you are able to capture as much detail as you require. Report templates can be stored in GeoPlan's report library to let you print the details on a single case, all cases for a given hearing date, and even all cases for a given parcel. Departmental management reports can be quickly generated also.
Detail the Arguments
Memo fields on the Circumstances page give you plenty of room to record comprehensive descriptions of appellant requests and arguments, as well as Zoning staff comments, which are useful in the preparation of case review packets and hearing date dockets.
Parcel-Centric Data Organization
Zoning Appeals data in GeoPlan is keyed on the parcel number which means that you can navigate seamlessly from the subject parcel to review that parcel's zoning appeal history or to generate a new appeal case. When you add a new case record, GeoPlan transfers the relevant parcel data into the appeal case record so you don't have to key-enter redundant data.
The Cases page organizes the basic data items commonly found on a Zoning Appeal application.
The Circumstances page provides ample space for detailing appellant requests and arguments.
With user-defined action types, you can track the progress of a case with as much detail as you require.
